March Highlights 2023
April Showers Bring May Flowers…but first, let’s talk about my March reading life. Four debut novels, tons of audiobooks, a favorite author, and some backlist beauties paired with a cozy cup of tea filled all my bookworm needs. Here are some of the books I read and where I landed with each of them.
Whether you read one or 21 books this March, I hope you feel delighted with all the words you consumed!

The Boyfriend Candidate
Today I am jumping ahead and sharing one of my FAVORITE author’s upcoming novel. Ashley Winstead, author of In My Dream I Hold A Knife, Fool Me Once, and The Last Housewife has a brand new romance novel coming out May 9th called The Boyfriend Candidate, and I can’t wait for everyone to get their hands on it.

The Way You Look Tonight
Happy Saturday! Do you remember when I told you about how much I loved Melissa Grace’s book, Home is Where You Are? Well guess what??? The sequel, Home Again, is coming out for all the world to read July 27, 2021 and I am here to tell you how fabulous it is. Grace once again dazzled me with her passionate characters and heartfelt tale. The spotlight is on Ella and Cash this time around, and their love story does not disappoint. I am now impatiently waiting for book three.

Here Comes The Sun
Love is in the air, and it feels like Valentine’s Day… in the beginning of May. Because of this, I have to share with you the most sprightly and heartwarming book. It Had To Be You by Georgia Clark has all the “feels” and I literally can’t stop smiling. Love almighty love is the theme here, and Clark delivers a five star tale blending a sprinkle of Modern Love with a dollop of Love Actually. This twenty-first century romantic comedy is a ray of sunshine and I can’t wait for the world to read it.

Let’s Get It On
To Love and To Loathe by Martha Waters is out today and its flirty, fresh and everything in between. An easy-peasy lemon-squeezy read is the best way to kick off spring in my opinion and Water’s latest historical rom-com will have you smiling from ear to ear.

The Magic of Christmas
Dear Mr. Hemingway,
Please hear me out before you think I am crazy. I am fully aware that it is the middle of October and the fall mums I love to decorate my yard with have yet to be purchased, while plans for this coming pandemic Halloween are still non-existent.

The Bitter And Sweet of Cherry Season
Dear Mr. Hemingway,
I feel like so many of the books I have read lately have me thinking of you, especially your younger days. Today I am talking about a book that took place in one of your old stomping grounds. The story I just read was set in a cozy farmhouse surrounded by a cherry orchard in Michigan. You remember Michigan, right? You may not have been picking cherries, but you definitely enjoyed some high-quality outdoor time there.

Audio Books Worth Your Hours
Dear Mr. Hemingway,
I have written to you about my love of audio books before. In my days, they were actually referred to as “books on tape”. I still catch myself saying that from time to time…especially when my kids look at me like I am speaking a foreign language. Anyway, do you know how many times I have fallen asleep listening to your book, The Old Man and the Sea? Well, it feels like a thousand.

I Tumble For You
Dear Mr. Hemingway,
Summertime, summertime, summertime. While you longed for feeling your fishing rod between your hands on a clear Michigan river with endless trout in sight, I ache to feel a book between my hands, my toes in the warm sand, and endless chapters to devour while lounging in my beach chair. Today, I am focusing on the summertime beach reading scenario (my husband can handle the fishing one another time…if you are interested). Beach Read by Emily Henry (OUT TODAY) and Head Over Heels (OUT JUNE 23) by Hannah Orenstein are two books that you must make time for this summer.

Books About Bookshops About Books About Bookshops
Dear Mr. Hemingway,
Wander the streets of Paris and you will never return home the same. La Ville Lumiere (The City of Lights) is what she is called. Paris sucks you in with the taste of your first cafe au lait. A city where art and intellect are the norm and glamour and romance is the marinade of choice. Imagine being cozied upon an old weathered leather couch feeling the draft of a door opening and closing.

Which Way Should I Swipe?
January 3, 2020
Dear Mr. Hemingway,
Welcome to 2020! A New year with brand new books! What is not to love? What I choose to read depends on my mood. Sometimes I crave something with twists and turns and utter suspense. While other times, I have a hankering for historical fiction or a fabulous memoir. Most recently though, I have been enjoying cuddling up in bed with a warm and fuzzy read.
